KIDS' CHOIR
Come join us as we prepare for our Christmas musical "Legacy of Love"!
Practices: Wednesdays from 7:00-8:15 pm
Performance: Sunday, December 6, at 6:00 pm in the Chapel
Hear what our director, Tracey Kelly, has to say about this year's musical...
The children’s choir will be performing a musical entitled “The Legacy of Love.” The premise of this musical is that everyone “leaves a legacy or a mark” during their lifetime. You can start leaving that mark at a very early age by the actions you take, your priorities and focus, and what you make most important in your world. This musical is timely due to circumstances some in our church have faced recently. It is a great reminder to us to make sure that we are aware that everything we do is a reflection of God during our lifetime and what we leave “between the dash” will have an impact on many.
As we prepare for the performance, the kids are looking at the people in their lives who have made an impact on them, as well as the impact they are and will be making on others. Jesus is God’s ultimate “Legacy of Love.” While we are practicing the songs, we are remembering that we will be “preaching” His message to all who hear it. The audience will be reminded of those who have “left a mark” in their lives as they, and the choir as well, are ministered to through the music. These words will surely touch your heart, especially as the children sing…
There are people in our lives for just a season.
They watch us grow and love us as we are.
And when they step away you see a brilliant tapestry;
an imprint on our lives that shows their heart.
It’s a legacy of love and it’s amazing.
And ever changing as the sand along the shore.
And if you hold those memories inside,
in your heart you take ahold of the gift…the legacy of love.
