Baby City

Our purpose is to love your children, to partner with you,
and to help grow your children’s hearts and minds for Jesus.

Loving your children:  We are committed to loving your children as God directs us.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”   1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Partnering with you, the parents:  We are committed to partnering with you in helping your children grow in the realization that they are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus.

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10

Growing the children’s hearts and minds for Jesus:  We are committed to growing the children’s hearts and minds for Jesus, so they will be a generation that serves the Lord.

“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.”    Psalm 78:4

In Baby City, you will find Downtown and Uptown.
Downtown is for babies, birth to one year, who are not yet walking.  Uptown is for toddlers, one year to twenty-four months plus.  Baby City involves your baby in many fun activities while you are worshipping.  We offer Palma Smiley curriculum to all babies that visit Baby City.  This curriculum enables our babies to learn about God and His love by using their senses.  We also offer learning experiences through interactive play and other fun activities.

In order for us to best meet your baby’s needs, we have created a schedule for the nursery. This will help you and your little one know what to expect when they attend.  You will find this posted at the nursery counter.

Picking Up & Dropping Off

For your baby’s safety, we now ask that you use your CHIP card at the kiosk to print off a name tag for your baby (ask a nursery worker how to register for a CHIP card).  Please pick up a Nursery Note at check-in, and fill in the appropriate information to ensure that we will meet any special needs your little one might have.  Once the Nursery Note is complete, please place your baby in the care of a nursery counter worker, and they will take your baby to the appropriate classroom. Your CHIP card will be required when you pick up your baby.

What to Pack

If possible, we would appreciate you labeling and packing a smaller diaper bag for your baby’s visit to Baby City.

Suggestions for contents:   -2 diapers
                                           -Change of Clothes
-Bottle if needed for the time they are in our care
                                           -Pacifier (clip on type, please)
*Please leave toys and other valuables at home

Baby City Health Policies

We want to ensure the health of your baby, so we work very hard to keep our nursery clean and sanitized. For this reason, we ask that you do not bring your child if they have had any of the following symptoms in the past twenty-four hours:

    •  Fever
    •  Green colored runny nose
    •  Undiagnosed rash
    •  Diarrhea
    •  Vomiting

FYI
     •  Your cell phone needs to be with you on vibrate in case we need you.
     •  In the new Worship Center, there is a Cry Room available to use.
If you choose to nurse in this room, please use discretion.
     •  We do have a more private nursing room  - W113 on the South side of the Worship Center.
     •  The family restroom next to the Cry Room is especially equipped for changing a diaper.

Emergency Situations

Our Baby City volunteers have been trained regarding emergency situations and CPR, so that you can fully trust placing your child in our care. In the case of an emergency, CHIP cards will be required for pick-up, and you will be asked to sign a release relieving us of responsibility of your child.

Fire:   In the case of a fire your baby will be taken to the median of the southeast parking lot.

Tornado:   Tornado shelters are within our nursery, so pick-up procedures will be followed as usual.
